This individual research project was conducted during the end of my MSc study at the University of Warwick. It aims to address the most prominent issue in crowd counting - the scale variation. We proposed a novel crowd counting method, named ICC, which leverages the multiscale feature maps produced by Inception-V3 to account for varying scales. More details for this early attempt can be found in our paper Inception-Based Crowd Counting — Being Fast while Remaining Accurate.
